Heavy hardback (20.3 × 26.7cm). Lilac buckram covers with Beautiful heavily-embossed gilt decoration and titles on front cover and spine. Spine is a little faded. No written inscription or name but there is a small neat bookplate on the first blank endpaper as well as a couple of small foxing marks. Very bright, clean and tight. Very attractive lilac decorated double-page endpapers and 22 Superb mounted colour illustrations all with captioned paper-guards by Hugh Thomson.
